A Rare British GT with American Muscle & Italian Style
This 1974 Jensen Interceptor MkIII represents the perfect fusion of transatlantic motoring character — a hand-built British grand tourer, powered by Chrysler’s legendary 440ci V8, and styled by the famed Italian design house Carrozzeria Touring.
The Interceptor is an elegant, commanding presence on the road, equally at home on a winding coastal drive or a weekend concours lawn.
Built in June 1971, and finished in Brienz Blue with a Tan Interior, this example is from the sought-after MkIII range, which brought significant refinements over its predecessors — including improved ride comfort, better interior appointments, and revised bumpers to meet US standards.
The MkIII also featured standard alloy wheels, air conditioning, and a more robust cooling system.
This particular MkIII has also received a number of significant enhancements in the form of an upgraded Fosseway braking system, fast-wind starter motor, upgraded air-conditioning system and 17” alloy wheels – all key enhancements that make this generation the most desirable and usable today.
